Coloring Christmas

CHRISTMAS WITH IT’S NATURAL GLOW

As a child, I could not get enough of the reds and greens of Christmas. The brighter, the better. It mattered not if there was a generous amount of plastic and paper involved. Christmas wasn’t Christmas without the red and green. With a great deal of Christmases behind me, I abandoned those Christmas colors long ago. Perhaps I am drawn to the natural evergreens, dry wood, tarnished silver and aged coppers because they need not leave with December. They are welcomed throughout winter.

We all have our own favored Christmas colors. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder…true. Therefore what we are drawn to has little to do with what we see but with what we feel. Christmas is all about the feel. The feel of the ribbon and wrap, the feel of the warm fire on our backs as we sit upon the hearth, the feel of the needles brushing our fingers as we hang the familiar ornament. Christmas is about the feel of gratitude for our blessings, the feel of heartache for those we miss, the feel of excitement for what lies ahead. ┬áColor your Christmas however you wish and feel comfort everyday because…

EVERY DAY MATTERS
